Mountain of Stroms DVD: from California to Argentina to climb Fitzroy

From the 7th of December the Mountain of Stroms DVD: from California to Argentina to climb Fitzroy will be available in the Patagonia store in Revolucni 1, Prague 1.

In the summer of 1968 three men - climber and surfer Yvon Chouinard, climber and skier Doug Tompkins, and champion skier Dick Dorworth - set off from California in a old, van to surf, ski and climb their way down to the southern end of Argentina where they met up with a young British climber, Chris Jones. Their goal was to climb a mountain that had been climbed only twice before: Cerro Fitz Roy. This 52 minutes movie relates their adventure, the difficulties of the Fitzroy's ascent and gives a good idea of the climbing ways at that time. Back in California, Yvon Chouinard founded a few years later his company that he named Patagonia, illustrating the wild spaces he travelled in for 6 months.
